Conversas na Rua Festival, Amadora

At the end of 2020 I participated in the mural festival “Conversas na Rua” in Amadora, Portugal, the theme for this edition was “The Illustrated City”, I took inspiration from the history and heritage of the city and after looking through many arquive images I finally found this picture by Alfredo Cunha that fit perfectly on this particular wall and told the story of the diaspora of people from Alentejo that came to live in Amadora after the revolution. It was very typical at the time to see old men from Alentejo gathering at the train stations just to look at the trains passing by.
